I am supporting Tommy’s Baby campaign #AlwaysAsk. This campaign has been endorsed by the Royal College of Midwives, Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and NHS England.
I’ve never experienced pregnancy but I can understand how important it is to ask questions about your health during that period of time when you are pregnant. Women should not be afraid to ask whatever may be on their mind.
Tommy’s has always inspired me as a charity, especially as they work closely with experiences that have happened to women like my mum and a few of my friends. Here’s a piece which explains my mum’s situation in more detail.
With charities as wonderful as Tommy’s, mothers and mothers-to-be are able to receive the support and guidance that they need if they require additional support from their midwives. Due to their extensive research, children who were born prematurely are able to live.
Did you know?
More than 60% of women worry that they are wasting midwives’ time by raising health concerns.
Tommy’s want women to know that they can speak up if there’s something they are worried about. No matter how big or small it may seem. More information about #AlwaysAsk is available here.
Please raise awareness of #AlwaysAsk on social media – Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
