Self care certainly doesn’t make you a selfish person.
Self care is important
I want to be able to explore more and see what more I am capable of. To reach higher goals and see different environments helps me to feel accomplished. I want to experience the more carefree side of me.
I am one of those people who feel highly pressured when certain situations arise. Whether it’s trying something new or getting close to gaining a new opportunity. I try to tell myself that this doesn’t have to involve being what someone wants me to be, or be in a place where someone expects me to be. I can’t conform to others beliefs and attitudes of where I need to be right now in my life. I think really, anyone can be wherever they want to be.
Think about being happy
If you’re happy and you’re trying to make the best life for you then do it. Obviously, there can be boundaries when we consider what’s realistic. In order to reach those bigger goals I need to keep a high level of optimism in order to pursue them. Occasionally, I feel like I’m a big cluster of worry. I feel to tense up when certain situations approach me. I know that there are many obstacles I can conquer.
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve handled sudden confrontations a lot better than I used to. My confidence has grown in so many ways. Often, I think I have forgotten how to do something. When actually, it’s stuck in my mind all along. I think if you are motivated and take each day as it comes, you can always be young and free no matter what age you are. If I can skip down the street then so can you.
Show them that you’re strong
Never lose yourself in the process though. Just because something sounds good doesn’t mean it’s for you. Always do what’s best for you. Some of us have short-term goals, others have long-term goals. Others like to have a mixture of the two. Take on what you think you can and don’t be afraid of showing others what’s really best for you.
When it comes down to it, enjoy what life has to offer. Taking your own path can help you get the most out of life. Start to think about your self care and capture your own happiness.
Interesting post but not what I was expecting at all. Doing what’s best for you in life is definitely the ideal, but not always possible. I’m glad you are able to do so.
